Color Block is a collaborative, community-engaged mural project that explores a university town’s mission statement of being a welcoming and engaged community through the lens of abstraction. Two designs were submitted for community input and feedback; the winning design was revised, printed on mural fabric panels, and painted with the help of 75 community volunteers. Color Block stretches through a local public park, anchoring the space in color, shape, and form and creating a cohesive visual narrative throughout the site.
